Our Team

Equality Group partners with organisations to strengthen inclusion in ways people can actually feel, and leaders can actually deliver. We support work at three levels: the systems that shape fairness (recruitment, progression, performance and retention), the everyday behaviours that shape culture, and the clarity that makes progress measurable.

You’ll experience a style that’s grounded and human. We make it easier for people to contribute honestly, build shared language, and move through complex conversations without scripts or fear of “getting it wrong”. When standard engagement methods are not getting you the insight you need, we also offer creative consultation (art-based) to unlock more useful input and clearer next steps.

Work is typically led by James Hare, with specialist partners brought in when needed (for example data, evaluation, or legal expertise), depending on the brief.

Meet the Team

  • I support organisations across Australia to build clear DEI strategy and real-world capability. My approach combines structured review and consultation with a maturity lens, so leaders can move from good intent to a practical roadmap with priorities, ownership and measures.

I started my career in nursing and have worked across HR and organisational practice in Australia and overseas. I bring a mix of strategic clarity and grounded facilitation, helping leaders and teams navigate complex conversations without scripts or performative language.

My work includes DEI strategy and policy development, organisational reviews, executive and practitioner coaching, and training and facilitation across topics such as inclusive leadership, belonging, and LGBTIQA+ inclusion. I also contribute to the profession through community leadership and sector engagement, including the AHRI NSW Diversity and Inclusion Network.
